DIRECTIONS TO FIDO'S FRIEND: Our facility is located south of Gettysburg, PA, and north of Frederick, MD, a few miles off US Route 15.
From Frederick: Take RT 15 North approx. 6 miles; make a right turn onto Old Frederick Road. Follow Old Frederick approx. 6 miles to a Stop sign. At Stop sign turn right onto RT 550 South. We are the 3rd lane on the left. There are two black mailboxes across the road with the #12155.
From the North: Take US RT 15 to Thurmont. Take the RT 550 exit. Follow RT 550 approx. 6 miles to #12155. RT 550 winds about Thurmont a bit, so keep an eye on the signs.
Drive up into the farm and park on the right next to the agility course and shop buildings.
FEES: Please sign in each visit, complete the paperwork and deposit the fee. Day Trips: $10 per dog for first two dogs. $5 for third dog, etc.
Keep dogs on a leash until in a designated area. Be safe and have fun!
Your canine companion can enjoy a full day of fresh air and exercise at Fido's Friend! Securely fenced areas offer agility equipment for fun or competitive training. We also offer a "lure course" for sight hounds and dogs who love to chase! In addition, we offer a "big air" launch deck and pool for dogs who love water retrieving. In a separate pasture, herding dogs will enjoy their own flock of sheep.
Fido's Friend is open to all breeds of dogs, whether pure bred or "pound puppy"! If your pet is confined to a small area and needs some fun, this is the place to come. We are a family operated business with over 35 years of dog knowledge.
